Gertruud Hartog has found her passion as an artist in making images of plus-size women. Under the name 'Big Ladies' she designs powerful female figures that radiate self-esteem and cheerfulness. Most of the 'Big Ladies' wear a swimsuit painted in many colors. Indigenous influences have become part of my style. All images have a unique name to distinguish them.

The portrayal of the women arises from the aspects that Gertruud Hartog encounters in daily life. She draws inspiration for new shapes and postures from her environment. Each image is unique and each image is a challenge for Gertruud in which she works to find the right proportions and colors. Being artistic is inspiring and relaxing for her. Each Big Lady is beautifully finished and made with love and enthusiasm.
